Day 2: Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a tour of the historic "Sultan Ahmet Center," the heart of Istanbul’s Old City, once the seat of the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. Begin with a photo stop at the iconic Hagia Sophia, a 6th-century architectural marvel. Visit the nearby Blue Mosque, renowned for its stunning blue İznik tiles and unique six minarets, built in honor of Sultan Ahmet. Explore the ancient Hippodrome, once the center of sporting and political events, featuring monuments like the Serpentine Column, Obelisk of Theodosius and the German Fountain.
Next, stop at Topkapı Palace, the former residence of Ottoman Sultans, showcasing treasures such as the imperial treasury and sacred Islamic relics (photo stop). In the afternoon, enjoy a private Bosphorus cruise, where you’ll capture views of majestic palaces, Ottoman wooden villas and modern residences along the strait. Admire the imposing Rumeli Fortress from the boat, a key military structure Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror built.
End the day with a visit to the bustling Spice Bazaar, filled with exotic aromas and colorful stalls selling spices, fruits, vegetables and more. Enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant.
