Day 4: Phnom Penh City Tour (Breakfast/Dinner)
After breakfast, our guide and driver will pick you up for a full day of sightseeing in Phnom Penh. Begin at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and continue to the Killing Fields of Cheung Ek, located 17 km from the city. This serene landscape hides a dark history, commemorated by a memorial honoring the 17,000 victims of the Khmer Rouge regime. This visit will provide a deep understanding of Cambodia's past and the resilience of its people.
Next, visit the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, remarkable examples of Khmer architecture. The Royal Palace, constructed in 1866 for King Norodom, houses the Silver Pagoda, known for its floor made of 5,329 silver tiles. Afterward, explore the National Museum, which showcases Khmer art and sculptures from various periods. Return to your hotel for some relaxation. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local Indian restaurant.
